Apiary Update

As we head into the winter season and we have all our hives wrapped for winter with extra stores we take stock of our lack of stock.

2020 has been a hard year for us, just as it has been for many of you. None of us could have foreseen the damage this virus would impact on so many facets of American Life.

We were busily preparing to take our company live when we were suddenly thrust into temporary employment freezes that became permanent. Sudden lack of income, lack of household goods and left scrambling for resources just to get by.

Our startup didn't get off the ground this year. All our funds were used up just trying to live. Our car still has no insurance, Christmas is going to be quite dreary for 5 little kids who won't understand why the tree is so empty this year. But through it all, we're still here. We're still striving to succeed in the next year.

We're still working hard as ever to prepare our Beginners Beekeeping course for USU's spring Community Courses, and a fall segment for advanced beekeeping.

We have a micro grant that is in the works to help us get some much needed equipment into our woodshop. Many personal tools are set aside to go to work when everything is in order.

Another grant will become available for our application early next year. And we're pleased with all the support and assistance we're receiving from the Small Business Development Center.

We are grateful for all the people who have stuck around and read our posts, continue to ask questions and patiently wait for the day we start producing Beekeeping equipment.

It's been quite the journey this year, but we have a plan, a website and eager members waiting patiently for supplies. We'll get there, and from my family to yours, Happy Holidays, may you stay warm and safe through this difficult time.

Thank you for your continued support, it is received warmly with an open and grateful heart.
